Deutzia is a deciduous flowering shrub with pretty pink flowers in the spring. There are many different types of Deutzia most of which originate in China, Japan or Mexico.

The flowers are star-shaped, about 2 cms across. On this variety, the petals have a pretty "frilly" edge. The leaves are dull green, slightly pointed with tiny serrations.
