The Crocosmia family of bulbs originated in Southern Africa.
Montbretia is a member of the Crocosmia family and is hardy
enough to survive in Britain.
They are very easy to grow. The orange flowers are trumpet
shaped and appear alternately along the stems. The leaves are
long and narrow.
This is one of the few summer flowers in our garden that are
not eaten by the deer and they make a pretty display.
