Colour: Brown / grey with distinctive white lines
Appearing: August - October
Family: Noctuidae

This moth is fairly easy to recognise with prominent white veins and distinctive stigmata. It also has very feathery antenna. The only similar moth is The Gothic which can be distinguished by white cross lines.

It is quite common in grassy habitats.
