Grey Squirrel |
|
|
Grey squirrels were introduced into this country from the USA
and they have thrived as their native counterparts, red
squirrels, have declined.
They have grey fur and a long bushy
tail and are renowned for their agility and ingenuity in
stealing nuts from bird feeders.
They bury their surplus food in the ground and can often be
seen digging in the lawn to retrieve it.
They have a lifespan of up to 9 years. |
