Autumn in the Garden

Autumn - there is always a sadness when the leaves change colour and begin to fall and nights grow longer. But, there is always something to see - the berries, the nuts and acorns and the squirrels running frantically back and forth hiding them for leaner times.

Finally, there are the fungi. Although they appear all year, the autumn provides the perfect conditions - cool and damp. Weird toadstools and jelly fungi appear all over the place, on the ground on trees and dead wood, hard to spot among the golden fallen leaves.
